The Army Recruitment Office Mindanao (AROM) successfully conducted a Mindanao-wide recruitment activity at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) on February 7, 2025.

The initiative is a crucial part of the Philippine Army Recruitment Program and was designed for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) for the Calendar Year 2025. Spearheaded by Staff Sergeant Alger O. Patac (Inf) PA, the recruitment activity provided aspiring individuals the opportunity to serve in the military and contribute to national security and development, instilling a sense of hope and optimism.

The recruitment process included a comprehensive briefing on the qualifications, requirements, benefits, and free qualifying exams for joining the Philippine Army. Aspiring candidates underwent initial screening, which involved physical and medical assessments and an evaluation of their educational background.

USTP Panaon expressed gratitude for being chosen as one of the venues for this significant recruitment initiative. The university’s commitment to supporting programs that provide career opportunities for its graduates and students, aligning with its mission of fostering holistic development and service-oriented leadership, was a testament to its value and appreciation for its students and graduates.
