University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II receives the Plaque of Recognition given by the Bureau of Fire Protection Region-10 to the University last March 24, 2021.
This is for providing the venue and accommodating the training of new fire officers of Class Bagani 2020 – 01 and Class Mabalaw 2020 – 02 at the USTP Alubijid in Lourdes, Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.
The Plaque of Recognition was signed by SSupt Carlos Dueñas, the Regional Director for BFP-10
BFP-10 is among the government agencies that are signifying their interest to relocate at the Science and Technology Park of USTP in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental. BFP plans to establish a state-of-the-art Regional Training School for firefighters in Northern Mindanao and decongest the main training school located in Laguna. The facility is part of the modernization program of the Bureau of Fire Protection and will cater training of incoming firefighters from Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), CARAGA Region, and Region 9.
