THE DEAN'S CORNER
About the Dean
Dr. Grace S. Pimentel is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in Secondary, Tertiary, and Post-Graduate education. A graduate of Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, she holds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees, embodying the Atenean values of excellence, integrity, and service to others. These values guide her teaching philosophy, inspiring students to live as “men and women for others.”
Her career spans private institutions, the Department of Education, and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP). At USTP, she served as Chairperson of the Teaching Languages Department and played a key role in the Level 2 accreditation of the MATESL program. During her secondment as College President of Salay Community College, her leadership achieved institutional recognition and Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) for three programs within a year.
Dr. Pimentel furthered her leadership training as a scholar in the CHED-(Asian Institute of Management) Global Academic Leadership Program, graduating in 2024. Returning to USTP in 2023, she now serves as Dean of the College of Science and Technology Education and Senior High School Principal, focusing on strategic leadership, faculty development, and student success.
An active researcher and scholar, Dr. Pimentel shares her work locally and internationally. Her promotion to a professorial rank reflects her commitment to education and lifelong learning. She leads with humility, guided by the belief that service and integrity are the foundations of meaningful leadership, striving to uplift others and create lasting impact.
