Learning Express delegation visits USTP System President

In a gesture of appreciation and gratitude, a delegation from the Learning Express (LeX) Program, comprising students and LeX facilitators from the Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, USTP System President. The visit, held on March 14, 2024, at the Performing Arts Theater of USTP Cagayan de Oro, aimed to formally introduce the LeX team and express their profound thanks for Dr. Cultura’s unwavering support towards the collaborative program between the institutions.
Dr. Cultura conveyed his appreciation for their visit. He underscored the pivotal role that programs, such as the Learning Express, have in advancing the university’s ongoing pursuit of internationalization.
He emphasized how this initiative holds the potential to attract international students to enroll in USTP, thus contributing to the institution’s academic diversity and global reach.
The Learning Express (LeX) is a 12-day program initiated by the Singapore Polytechnic to immerse students in livelihood and volunteer programs that help address the unmet needs of communities while developing their academic skills through the Design Thinking principles.
