As part of its 20th anniversary, the Philippine Youth Leadership Program (PYLP) celebrated “Dungan Ngadto 4: A PLYP 2023 Follow-On Summit” on July 6, 2023, at the Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras Memorial Hall, USTP Cagayan de Oro.
The PLYP organized the event in collaboration with the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, facilitated by the Northern Illinois University (NIU) in the USA and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in the Philippines.
University officials and esteemed guests, including PYLP 2023 delegates and representatives from the NIU and the US Embassy in the Philippines, came together to partake in the celebration.
The activity featured a captivating cultural presentation of the Philippines, which took center stage and delighted the audience with its vibrant and diverse showcase of projects and talents. The event also served as a platform for the PYLP 2023 Youth Head Leaders to share their extraordinary personal advocacies and inspiring journeys while working with the organization.
The USTP looks forward to witnessing the PYLP 2023 community reach their full potential through their remarkable dedication and persistent commitment. The University hopes their impressive achievements may continue to inspire and guide others, serving as a beacon of motivation in their exceptional efforts and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Although this marks the PYLP’s final year of partnership with the USTP System, the University wishes that the organization’s programs and initiatives will continue to foster leadership, yielding fruitful outcomes among and within various communities in the region and across the globe.
