Strengthening Industry Connections: USTP Villanueva hosts industry forum

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental (USTP Villanueva) successfully hosted the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Industry Forum, fostering collaboration between industry leaders and the academic sector to drive innovation and economic growth on February 19, 2025.
The event commenced with a Tree-Growing Activity at the San Martin Campus in the morning, underscoring USTP’s commitment to environmental sustainability. In the afternoon, the forum served as a platform for in-depth discussions on industry trends, economic development, and strategic innovations.
Esteemed companies and organizations from Misamis Oriental, Philippines, actively participated in the event, including Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc.; Del Monte Philippines, Inc.; PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority; FDC Misamis Power Corporation; Minergy Power Corporation (MPC); STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI Power); Philippine Iron Construction and Marine Works, Inc.; San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMBI); RI Chem Corporation; and the Regional Training Center – TESDA.
Prof. Colbert G. Rabaya, USTP Villanueva Campus Administrator, expressed his gratitude for the success of the event, emphasizing the importance of robust industry-academic partnerships in driving sustainable growth and fostering technological advancements.
