Trailblazers Leadership Summit 2024 empowers USTP Oroquieta student leaders

Over seventy-five (75) student leaders gathered at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta), for the Trailblazers Leadership Summit 2024. Hosted by the Office of Student Affairs at USTP Oroquieta, the summit, which took place from April 17 to 19, 2024, offered a unique opportunity for student leaders to equip themselves with essential skills and knowledge to excel in their respective organizations.
Notable figures from various agencies graced the event, including LTC Jose Andre R. Monje, Armed Forces of the Philippines Commanding Officer of 10IB, 1ID, PA Burgos, Oroquieta City; Mr. Bernardo Crisologo, Head of the Department of Technology and Livelihood Education (DTLE) at USTP Oroquieta; Ms. Nadeth Leopoldo, Head of the Office of Student Affairs; Ms. Shalene Mae, a Department of Education (DepEd) teacher; Engr. Kenneth Asuncion, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Information Officer 1; and Mr. Regine Talo, a USTP Oroquieta instructor.

The summit, a platform for collaboration and networking, featured interactive sessions on leadership fundamentals, conflict management techniques, parliamentary procedures, and effective planning strategies. It encouraged the exchange of ideas and fostered new connections among student leaders across different organizations. University Student Government President Rechelli Poliran, Society of Information Technology Enthusiasts President Sam Tadiwan, and Active Certified Computer Enhance Student Society President Aljon Inting led the event, further strengthening the sense of community among the student leaders.
Participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to lead with excellence and make a meaningful difference in their respective organizations and communities.
The success of TLS 2024 paves the way for future leadership development initiatives at USTP Oroquieta. It ensures that student leaders will continue to thrive and excel in their roles, marking a significant milestone in the journey of student leadership at the campus and beyond.
