A new structure in the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental will soon rise to make way for greater research productivity.
USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II led the ocular inspection on December 28, 2021 at the on-going construction of the Research and Innovation Center in USTP Claveria. Architect Ferdinand Dumpa, Director for Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Development Office (IPFDO) of the USTP System, said that the target date of completion is on June 30, 2022.

The 3-storey structure will serve as USTP’s central research hub for advanced sciences and cutting-edge technology especially in the areas of biotechnology and data analytics. The structure stands right in front of USTP Claveria Milking Processing Plant building.
“The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines is already setting the groundwork for this new academic center and we look forward to providing the kind of advanced educational programs that will meet the needs of an evolving workforce and move our economy forward,” Pres. Cultura said.
