USTP CDO to hold 86th Commencement Exercises

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City will hold its 86th Commencement Exercises with the theme: Advancing the Frontiers of Education for Social Progress, Environmental Protection, and Sustainable Development on August 9-12, 2023. The four-day celebration will honor over 2,000 graduates who showed perseverance and commitment throughout their university journey. These students endured a difficult academic year filled with many challenges and tribulations, but they persisted and came out stronger than before.
The commencement exercises will highlight an ecumenical service, an academic convocation, and awarding degrees to the graduating students.
The schedule of the commencement exercises is as follows:
- August 9, 2023
Ecumenical Service & Academic Convocation, 6 AM to 12NN
- August 10, 2023
Cluster 1: CEA, IGIS, and Senior High School Department, 6 AM to 12NN
- August 11, 2023
Cluster 2: CITC and CSM Department, 6 AM to 12NN
- August 12, 2023
Cluster 3: CSTE and CT Department, 6 AM to 12NN
Every commencement exercise is a momentous occasion, and the university invites everyone to join the celebration virtually. The event will be live streamed on the USTP Facebook page.
The graduating class of 2023 has faced many challenges during their time at USTP. They have had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted their education, and they have had to learn online. Despite these challenges, they have persevered. They have worked hard to understand their coursework and maintained their academic excellence. Some also managed to be involved in extracurricular activities, and some have significantly contributed to the USTP community.
The future is bright for the Class of 2023. As the graduating class of 2023 prepares to embark on their new journey, they can look at their time at USTP with pride. They are ready to take on the world and make their mark.
