USTP celebrates back-to-back feat as top-ranked school in MELE

On March 13, 2024, the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO) celebrated with its February 2024 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE) passers for reaffirming its status as the Top 1 Performing School for the said exam. The occasion was held at the Performing Arts Theater, USTP CDO.
This day of gratitude and celebration was graced with the presence of USTP officials, CEA faculty members, and MELE board passers.
In his words of gratitude, USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, extended his congratulations, stating, “Your performance contributes greatly to the honor of the University. It is my hope that this will continue for the next years.”
He added, “This is a challenge to all other programs to follow the strategy of the Mechanical Engineering department. Let us take inspiration from them.”
Other congratulatory messages were also delivered by the USTP CDO Chancellor, Atty. Dionel O. Albina; the designated CEA Dean, Dr. Israel A. Baguhin; and current Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs in concurrent capacity as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagements and Quality Assurance of the USTP System, Dr. Lory Liza D. Bulay-og.
In closing, Engr. Maria Leona Maye P. Gemina, Department Head of the Mechanical Engineering, delivered a short message encouraging the board passers to continue to strive for excellence as they venture into their professional lives.
