USTP Claveria team wins 3rd place in systemwide IP Quiz Bowl

Students from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, showed to be worthy competitors in the recently ended system-wide Intellectual Property Quiz Bowl. The competition was held on April 26, 2023, at the DRER Memorial Hall of USTP Cagayan de Oro, where various teams gathered from across the USTP System.
Despite the fierce competition, Mr. Emerald Gabonada and Ms. Aprille Marie Ramoso, BS Agroforestry students represented USTP Claveria and finished third after fighting against some of the most brilliant minds in the USTP System in the field of intellectual property.
The second team from USTP Claveria composed of BS Social Work students Mr. Mark Agustine Maputol and Ms. Angel Rose Pelegro may not have won a prize, but they gave it their all throughout the competition and demonstrated true teamwork.
The two coaches, Mr. Arnel Travero and Mr. Rey Gevero, expressed their pride for their students’ achievements and promised to work harder for the next tournament.
Overall, the quiz bowl proved to be a wonderful event for the USTP Claveria representatives who were able to showcase their talents and skills in the field of intellectual property. The entire university community congratulates the two teams and their coaches for a great performance.
