USTP, DOLE lead second day of Career Empowerment at Ready, Set, Work 2024

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro City (USTP CDO), through the USTP Career Center and in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region X, continued the second day of the Ready, Set, Work 2024: A Labor Empowerment and Career Guidance Conference held at Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras (DRER) Memorial Hall in USTP CDO on October 25, 2024. Participants were graduating students from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and the College of Science and Technology Education (CSTE).
Engr. Erich P. Abad, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of USTP CDO, officially welcomed the attendees and encouraged them to fully engage in the valuable sessions.
The event included presentations on Employability Skills by Ms. Angeli Monsanto, Language and Career Research Coordinator of the USTP Career Center; Resume and Cover Letter Writing by Ms. Eunee Marie A. Bonane-Putian; and Labor Education for Graduating Students by Ms. Mary Joyce Abragan-Harnaiz, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE Region X. These sessions fostered interactive career advising, allowing participants to plan and prepare for their future careers actively.

Before the event, the USTP Career Center instructed participants to comply with the three (3) pre-event requirements: Pre-registration, Career Center Senior Graduands Survey, and Wadhwani Jobready Account.
The event testifies to the continuous commitment of USTP to bring the world of work into the actual higher education and training of students.
