USTP Jasaan joins 125th Philippine Independence Day celebration

The members of the faculty and staff of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Jasaan, led by its Acting Campus Director, Dr. Ruel S. Salvador, attended the 125th Philippine Independence Day celebration held at the Rizal Monument in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.
Celebrating independence is an important commemoration to give honor to our forefathers who fought for our freedom so we can have the future that they dreamed for our nation.
The celebration was spearheaded by Mayor Redentor “Red” S. Jardin, the Municipal Mayor of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. It started early in the morning with a Holy Mass celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church.
Different offices of the local government unit of the Municipality of Jasaan, including the Department of Education (DepED) North and South Districts of Jasaan, private schools, industries, and the faculty and staff of the USTP Jasaan joined in the celebration. During his speech, Mayor Jardin focused on the theme: Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan.
