USTP Jasaan, MCC review MOA

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Jasaan and the Mindanao Container Corporation (MCC) held a coordination meeting on June 7, 2023, at the MCC Main Plant in Brgy. Katipunan, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, to strengthen the partnership between the university and MCC, a premier manufacturer of quality steel drums that cater to local and international markets.
The meeting aimed to review the existing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between parties and discuss the inclusion of Faculty Immersion, Research, and Extension to the said agreement.
Engr. Apolo D. Verano, Chief Operating Officer of the MCC expressed gratitude for USTP Jasaan’s interest in their company. He shared that the partnership would not only benefit the students of the USTP for their research projects and On-the-Job Trainings (OJT), but would also benefit the MCC employees, especially in training areas where USTP extensionists may impart their knowledge and skills.
The meeting ended with a mutual understanding, discussing the benefits that each party may obtain from the collaboration. The USTP Jasaan and the MCC hope for the partnership’s sustainability and are both looking forward to ink the updated MOA in the soonest time possible.
