USTP Jasaan visits MSU-MSAT for research and extension projects collaboration

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan) visited the Mindanao State University – Maigo School of Arts and Trades (MSU-MSAT) in Maigo, Lanao del Norte on March 13, 2024, to discuss possible collaboration on research and extension projects.
Both universities presented their completed and existing projects, giving an overview of the priority areas.
Representatives from USTP Jasaan were Dr. Ruel S. Salvador, Campus Director; Engr. Maricel C. Mandawe, Academic Head; Engr. John Mikel Acma, Research Coordinator; Ms. Ruthy B. Valdez, Extension and Community Relations Coordinator; Mr. Greg C. Pegarro, General Education Unit Coordinator; Engr. Brian D. Genon, Head of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Department; Mr. Reymark P. Malinda, Head of the Technology Communication Department; Mr. Jimvy Salise, Head of the Information Technology Department; Mr. Ferdinand M. Oraiz, Head of the Energy Systems Management Department; and Engr. Dweena Maye V. Zamora, faculty of the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department.
Representing MSU-MSAT were Atty. Jamiloden A. Basar, Campus Head; Dr. Karen Gay Dy, Research and Extension Director; and other university officials.
During the crafting of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the contents relative to the collaboration were discussed. Then, a technical committee was formed to finalize the MOU. Both parties agreed that the MOU signing will be scheduled and carried out at USTP Jasaan.
