USTP Panaon Campus Director named Best Presenter at IAMSTEM 2023

Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Panaon, Misamis Occidental, was recognized as the Best Presenter during the closing ceremony for the 6th International Annual Meeting on STEM Education (IAMSTEM) 2023 “Creativity and Sustainability,” held on September 14–15, 2023, at the Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Oral and poster research presentations are part of the conference agenda, allowing attendees to think creatively and critically about integrated STEM education. Dr. Añasco presented her scientific paper titled “Transactional model of direct instruction: ITS effects on STEM teachers’ discourse, students’ academic performance and attitude.”
Jointly organizing IAMSTEM 2023 were the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambodia; the Science Education Association of Thailand (SEAT); the ASEAN Comparative Educational Research Network (ACER-N); Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, State University of Malang, Galuh University, Indonesia; Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, the Philippines; Thai Nguyen University of Education, Vietnam; National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan; and Curtin University, Australia.
