To strengthen research initiatives and enhance proposal quality, researchers from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) participated in the Research Proposal Enhancement Clinic on March 3, 2025, held at the USTP Cagayan de Oro Chancellor’s Office Conference Room. The clinic aimed to provide constructive feedback on research proposals and help participants align their work with institutional funding priorities.

This collaborative effort brought together researchers from various USTP campuses, including representatives from the USTP CDO Research Office, led by Dr. Ismael Talili, Director for Research. Participants actively engaged in discussions, receiving tailored feedback that fostered a sense of inclusion and shared purpose.

Engr. Alex L. Maureal, Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation of USTP CDO, reviewed institutional research proposals, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. His feedback focused on enhancing clarity, aligning with funding priorities, and addressing gaps in methodology and feasibility. Participants worked in real-time, using laptops to revise proposals based on expert recommendations, allowing immediate improvements.

The Research Proposal Enhancement Clinic improved proposal quality and alignment with funding priorities, fostering productive discussions and equipping participants with actionable insights to strengthen their research endeavors.
