USTP Panaon showcases innovation at CET’s Intercampus Pitching Competition

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) participated in the Intercampus Pitching competition held at USTP Oroquieta on February 7, 2025. Participants showcased their innovation and entrepreneurship skills, demonstrating eagerness and passion throughout the event.
The innovative start-ups Civic Tech Solutions and Certilink represented USTP Panaon, with Civic Tech Solutions securing second place.
Five (5) teams from USTP Oroquieta and USTP Panaon competed in the event, fostering a spirit of innovation and healthy rivalry among the students.

- QUEST4INNO
- Civic Tech Solutions
- CertiLink
- SMASHER
These promising business and innovation ideas hold great potential for student start-ups, offering innovative solutions that could make a significant impact. Notable entries included CertiLink, which impressed the judges with its ability to certify documents digitally, and AquaTech’s Click ‘N Reserve, which showcased a resort management and reservation system solution.
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (CET) USTP System, in coordination with USTP Oroquieta and USTP Panaon, spearheaded the competition, providing young and aspiring entrepreneurs with valuable learning opportunities. The panel of judges included Nadeth R. Leopoldo, Head of the Office of Student Affairs at USTP Oroquieta; Shann Neil Yuron, Instructor I at USTP Panaon; and Christlyn P. Lumantas, Teacher I at Dullan IS, Oroquieta City. The event exposed participants to business concepts, pitching, and technology entrepreneurship. It also strengthened the collaboration and exchange of ideas between the two USTP campuses.
The Intercampus Pitching competition underscores USTP’s commitment to fostering higher education with cutting-edge programs and competitions, further advancing students’ excellence in technology and business innovation.
