USTP System President inspires newly inducted Barons Society ROTC Alumni officers

Highlighting the theme “Nurturing Roots, Unity in Tradition, Visioning Tomorrow,” USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II delivered his speech for the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officers of the Barons Society ROTC Alumni on March 16, 2024, at the 4ID Mess Hall, Camp Edilberto Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Manuel B. Estanilla, President of the Barons Society; Lieutenant Colonel Nelton Pacudan, Outgoing President of the Barons Society; Dr. Soc Anthony Ma. del Rosario, CEO and President of the Asian Business Cabletow Cooperative Academy (ABCCA); and all the members of the Board of Directors and Committee of the Barons Society ROTC Alumni.
Dr. Cultura underscored how nurturing roots serve as a reminder of the strong foundation upon which the Barons Society was established. He added that it is through unity in tradition that they could find strength in their collective identity and purpose. He also challenged the new officers to envision a course toward a future defined by progress, inclusivity, and opportunity for all.
Moreover, Dr. Cultura pointed to the potential collaboration between the University and the organization. He shared the University’s USTP-Learn, Engage, Adapt, and Disrupt (U-LEAD), a new program that allows students to immerse and solve real problems in the community. The Barons Society could offer support in this pursuit by providing protection and security to students while working in the field.
Dr. Cultura congratulated the newly elected officers for their dedication, passion, and leadership, which serve as a testament to the enduring strength and vitality of the organization. “As you embark on this new chapter of service and stewardship, may you be guided by the values of integrity, excellence, and camaraderie that have always been the hallmark of the Barons Society,” he concluded.
As the inducting officer, Dr. Cultura administered the oath, emphasizing the importance of integrity in every aspect of service. He encouraged them to embrace the responsibilities that come with their leadership in the organization.
