USTP System President leads consultative meeting, campus visit at Balubal

On March 11, 2024, University System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II visited USTP Balubal for a consultative meeting which highlighted the sharing of the various concerns of the teaching, non-teaching personnel, and student leaders on the academic programs, infrastructure development, and student welfare.
Dr. Dennis A. Apuan, USTP Balubal Acting Campus Director, gave further information regarding the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visit last week concerning the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) application of the USTP Balubal.
Dr. Cultura then shared the update on House Bill No. 972 — An Act Establishing a Campus of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTsP) in Barangay Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City, to be known as the USTsP-Barangay Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City Campus, and Appropriating Funds Therefor. Congressman Rufus Rodriguez filed the bill, which was approved with amendments by the Committee on Higher and Technical Education (CHTE) during its 28th regular committee meeting last February 26, 2024.
The visit concluded with a tour of the campus, offering the President a firsthand glimpse into the development of its facilities.
