USTP Villanueva partners with TESDA RTC-Tagoloan to enhance workforce skills

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental (USTP Villanueva) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Training Center in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental (TESDA RTC – Tagoloan) have entered into a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing skills training and enhancing career readiness for the students on February 14, 2025.

In a significant development, Campus Administrator Prof. Colbert G. Rabaya and Academic Head Evangeline Rosauro I. Yonson from USTP Villanueva met with TESDA RTC-Tagoloan Center Administrator Mario S. Labisig to discuss a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will open new opportunities for students pursuing technical-vocational education. Once finalized and signed, this partnership will provide students from both TESDA and USTP with access to advanced skills training, hands-on experience, and direct exposure to the industry.


The collaboration promises to introduce innovative training programs aligned with in-demand industry skills, offering students access to state-of-the-art facilities and an education that bridges the gap between academia and employment. USTP Villanueva and TESDA RTC-Tagoloan are committed to equipping students with the competencies needed to excel in their careers.
