USTP Villanueva S&T Park: Complementing the Industry for Sustainable Growth

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) is achieving significant milestones in its Science & Technology Parks initiative, transforming Misamis Oriental into a hub of business, innovation, and opportunity. USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II leads these efforts, spearheading the development of the USTP Villanueva S&T Park to align with the needs of partner industries.

The Industrial Hub of Innovation
The establishment of the park aligns with USTP’s vision of creating an Innovation Triangle in Northern Mindanao. Strategically located in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, the third S&T Park aims to enhance the region’s innovation ecosystem. Positioned near key industry partners within the industrial estate, the park will design programs tailored to industry demands.
USTP’s Innovation Triangle
This development is driven by a 25-year Usufruct Agreement between USTP and the Philippine Veterans Investment Development Corporation (PHIVIDEC). The agreement, signed on February 4, 2021, during the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority Board Meeting, allows USTP to establish a 5-hectare campus within the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate to support the industries located in the PHIVIDEC Economic Zone.
